We are registered with the Healthcare Inspectorate Wales, the independent inspectorate and regulator of healthcare in Wales.
Before you get started
We are proud to offer a free and no obligation consultation to explain the treatment process in detail, apprise the accurate cost of tattoo removal per session and to assess your suitability for this treatment. This session will also give you a chance to ask any questions you may have to one of our experienced laser therapists. Having removed hundreds of tattoos successfully for over 10 years, we have numerous examples of tattoos we have removed that we can show to you. Before any Tattoo sessions can be booked, a small ‘patch test’ area of the tattoo will be treated to ensure you are suitable to have the full tattoo removal treatment and a before treatment photo will be taken.
Laser Tattoo Removal FAQs
What does the treatment feel like?
Many people describe the feeling of non-ablative laser therapy as a tingling sensation. The impact of the energy from the pulse of light is similar to the snap of a very thin rubber band. Anaesthesia is usually not necessary, but you may request a topical cream if you wish. For those having tattoo removal, some patients may feel mild discomfort as the physician traces the design because the tattoo ink absorbs the laser energy.
How long is the downtime?
Revlite® SI procedures do not have any downtime.
Is the process painful?
The Revlite® laser emits light in very short pulses. The impact of the energy from the power pulse of light is similar to the snap of a thin rubber band. After the treatment, the area will feel similar to a light sunburn. Typically any discomfort will disappear within a day or so. After the redness clears, the skin returns to its natural colour and texture.
Are there any after effects from the treatment?
Some patients may experience erythema (superficial reddening of the skin), that is typically resolved in 24 hours.
How many treatment sessions will it take to remove the tattoo?
This depends on the size and type of tattoo you may have. A large, professional tattoo will take more sessions than a smaller, amateur one. A free consultation is available to learn more about what you may require.
What type of post treatment care is necessary?
The treated area may feel similar to a mild sunburn. No specific post-care is needed, although you will be asked to avoid sun and certain skin products for a period of time.
